Aid International Development Forum has conducted a 60 second interview with Tina Lund, Key Account Manager UN/NGO of Danimex Communication A/S.
Tell us about your company and products/services?
Danimex Communication A/S is an award winning Motorola distributor and has more than 30 years of experience in solving advanced communication challenges for humanitarian organisations throughout the world.
Danimex’s product portfolio covers the communication needs of modern organisations i.e. the communication between workers in the field, between vehicles moving across borders or between headquarters and local offices. The communication solutions Danimex offers includes programming, installation, technical support and technical training.
Danimex responds quickly and effectively when a sudden demand develops and can handle both temporary setups and permanent solutions.
What is your company’s involvement in the region?
Danimex Communication works with a global network of highly qualified reseller partners to bring you the best communications products, and we have a large number of UN resellers in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The feedback from the field has shown us that there is a strong demand for a local support concept which we now have launched. Our newly developed Danimex UN Reseller Program ensures that our reseller partners intimately understand our products and services, deliver deep technical expertise, and can serve the complex needs of the humanitarian community in all countries.
Whether you’re looking to purchase a single radio or need help with solving a complex communication challenge, our Danimex UN reseller partners are here to help you innovate and succeed.
Danimex offers a unique level of customer service and technical support on-site or remotely called Danimex Humanitarian IT Service (HITS). We have skilled experts on hand and the tools and processes to customise a range of solutions at a high level so each customer will get the best performance out of their investment. We offer a broad range of service from education and training through site surveys to total project management that can be tailored to each customer.
What do you think are key trends and future developments in the sector?
As the ETC has launched a new 2020 strategy for humanitarian connections, we as their partners need to adapt to this strategy by creating access to a communications environment in emergencies where responders can easily access the technology tools, services and solutions they need. We will also focus on offering technology which serves a wider community, not only the ETC but with a particular focus on affected populations and governments.
