Newsletter - November 2017

Dear colleagues,

This year brought an increase in technology that has been designed to make a difference in disaster zones. Mobile devices have been extremely useful in situations where victims could not be reached due to limited infrastructure. Ensuring everyone has access to clean water and medical care is imperative to their survival.

Public-private partnerships can really help make a difference in finding innovative ways to accelerate access to health information and services. Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance is looking towards tech companies in Silicon Valley to create digital identity solutions for the one-third of children without an identity in developing nations and connect them to vaccinations and other health services.

Some of the most influential actors working towards achieving the SDGs in Africa have been featured in the AIDF Top 100 Twitter Accounts. Take a look at the list and see who you should be following in African aid and development!

Kind Regards,
AIDF Team
