Call for Apps Supporting Sustainable Development Goals in Africa

A new competition has been launched to showcase innovative apps that support humanitarian aid and development in Sub-Saharan East Africa.

​Apply now for a chance to showcase your app at the “Planet of the Apps”, part of the 2nd annual Aid & Development Africa Summit 2017 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Launched in September 2016 at the Global Disaster Relief Summit 2016 in Washington D.C., ​the Planet of the Apps presented some of the latest mobile applications supporting disaster relief operations to senior representatives and advisors from government and UN agencies, international and regional NGOs, CBOs, investors and donors, research institutes and the private sector.

The shortlisted apps included Share The Meal, ETC Reporter, mVAM, ReliefWeb Videos, ReliefWeb Headlines, MyTrac™ and Refugee Aid App (RefAid).
