Product: WHOPES approved, Duranet brand LLIN (Long Lasting insecticide incorporated mosquito bed net). Phase III – Full recommendation has been granted to Duranet LLIN by WHOPES.
Experience: Shobikaa is in the mosquito net manufacturing industry for the past 2 decades.
There is no customer complaints on any aspect during this tenure.
Production capacity: Presently 2.50 million nets per month.
Sales: Duranet LLINs are being exported to over 60 countries including Ministry of Health of various countries which function under NGO’s like The Global Fund and World Bank aided Malaria projects, United Nations Organization (UNO)), UNICEF, UNOPS, PSI, USAID-JSI, ICRC,IFRC, MSF. We are also supplying to all African countries.
Machineries: All German make Karl Mayer Knitting machines, advanced extruders, stenters,and world class sewing machines to manufacture our unique quality DuraNet brand LLIN as per WHOPES Specifications.
Chemical Master batch: We have our own chemical master batch manufacturing unit with advanced technology for producing Alphacypermethrin Masterbatch granules as and when necessary.
Internal lab: Shobikka has it’s own advanced lab with Agilent’s GC ( Gas Chromotography) to test and analyse the chemical active ingredient in the Duranet LLIN.
Quality: Experienced Quality Managers, and trained supervisors are maintaining the quality as per WHOPES standards for each batch produced.
We are having ISO 9001-2008 certification from TUV SUD Ltd.
Team: We have employed directly and directly about 3000 technically skilled workers, technocrats, administrators, Chartered accountants and various professionals to implement our plan successfully
Warehousing capacity: Shobikaa is having large warehousing facility to keep 250,000 bales ( @ 50 nets per bale ) of 12.50 million nets at any time.
Logistics: We have our own Customs house clearing office, in Chennai port – India, to effect the shipments in time without any delay to meet our shipment targets, as per customer requirements.
Finance: Shobikaa is having a sound financial strength to run the business..
Child Labour: We have not employed any child labour in our organization.
Amenities to Workers: We are providing food at subsidised cost and free bus facilities to our workers for up and down.
Support to Female worker: We have employed more than 600 female workers in in the main factory production centres to respect the social respectability of the women.
